9/3/10 " NICE RACK!" There`s not another pair quite as nice as these`s in whole country or at least East coast as far as I know.
8/31/10 Perfect weather and conditions made for a great race. Things went just as I hoped the course was a challenge, but with the target and current section really broke things up. Pro`s gave it their all to get to buoys first and get some cash. Getting through current section took good technique and river savvy, and then the chicken toss, somehow to paddle and throw a rubber chicken at a target and some how not lose your spot in the race for a chance to win BIG ($340) Epic paddle now that was exciting!!! I can tell you standing on sidelines as a race director, it is a good feeling to see tired and smiling faces at same time was cool. Then came "yes there`s more "The Rapid Shoot (video later) the rapids were in rare form I would say all of class 2. Five brave souls ventured down only four ran it, with Bruce Lee having the best time with Chaz Ross 10 seconds off. Ivr Claar 66yrs. old put in one of the longest efforts I have seen in a while there i think if I had not told him to give up he would still be there.(good job Ivr !!!) Thanks to all who showed. GOOD TIMES!!! Here`s a link to youtube for a slide show of pictures that my niece put together. For some reason I have`nt been able to get link to work so if you go to www.youtube.com and put in "220 adventure sales" in the search and watch the slide show...

RACE UPDATE 8/16/10- Because of very low water this year I have changed race to a loop course at Wysox boat launch, this is a great course that will test your fitness and boat handling skills and water is plenty deep. I use a 2" under stern rudder and I haven`t hit in this area of river. There will be a currant section for Pro and Touring classes it is very doable but will test you fitness and a good place to lose that person on your tail. Classes will stay the same. Pro will do 1.75 laps about 13miles, Touring will do one lap about 7 miles and Recreational will do 3 smaller laps with no currant section ( Maps 1 2 ) I have a couple of other surprises for the day. Registration will 8am till 9am with race starting at 9:30. So tell your friends and come join us it`s sure to be a fun filled day . More updates soon...
Standing Stone update- the chicken target (THAT`S RIGHT I SAID CHICKEN TARGET) will be back for this year. So practice your throwing while in your boat moving it may come in handy...

8/22/09 Rain looks like it may be south of us cool cloudy conditions for race near perfect water conditions should make for a great race. State representitve Tina Pickett will be there to start us off, we are going to 5 rescue boats out there with water if you need it and taking some pictures.
8/25/09 Great Funn!!! The first Standing Stone Challenge perfect water conditions and perfect weather and even state representative Tina Pickett was on hand to start us off .I have done this section of river a few times but it seamed to take on a life of it`s own racing it, I guess putting in that effort for that long had something to do with it. The upstream section went great, everyone put in a hard effort to the buoy, Chazz Ross taking the $100 prize(that was a race in it`s self) even knowing once we rounded it we had 14.5 more miles to go. The two rapid sections were totally avoidable but sure were fun for those who dared to stick their nose in and ride them out . The rescue guys were taking pictures( well so they thought they were)they got 2 in the end, one of a boat far away and one of the back of other guy in boat , I thanked them for the effort anyway they did a good gob on the day and they had 5 boats out there. Mark White paddled down to the Stone and got some good pictures, they will be on picture gallery of website as they come in. At the finish it was good to see everyone was exhausted but still smiling being the director of the race that was a good thing to see . And then we all had a burger and told our version of The Standing Stone Challenge. We are already working on next year, bigger and better hope to see you there...
